Planetary boundary layer - The planetary boundary layer (PBL) is an atmospheric layer where physical quantities (flow velocity, temperature, moisture etc) are considerably affected by rapid fluctuations (Turbulence) resulting from the flow interaction with the earth's surface. The atmosphere above the PBL is called free atmosphere as it is generally free of turbulence.
Ozone layer - The ozone layer, or ozonosphere, is that part of the Earth's stratosphere which contains relatively high concentrations of ozone (O3). "Relatively high" means a few parts per million, much higher than the concentrations in the lower atmosphere but still small compared to the main components of the atmosphere.
Atmospheric boundary layer - The Atmospheric boundary layer (ABL) is the portion of the atmosphere most affected by the sun's heating of the Earth's surface, and by friction. It is typically 1 to 2 kilometres above ground level; the depth is dependent on the temperature of the underlying surface.
